Bronze
I cast several bronze sculptures. The first piece I cast was at UC Berkley in 1983 when I was a student. The mold weighed 1,500 pounds and it required a lot of welded steel structures to complete.

Stone
Working in stone is onerous. One lapse in concentration is all it takes to ruin weeks of work. You really need to be sure what you want to say to say it in stone. The old saying about things carved in stone is quite true. I think everyone should make a statement in stone at least once in their life to fully understand.
3.
Clay
Clay is my favorite medium. It fits my personality and I feel very comfortable when I am working with it. Everyone has a preferred communication medium, and would say that clay is mine. I am anticipating that digital clay will be popular when it arrives for everyone to use. However, I will miss the smell and feel of actual clay.
All my favorite sculptures started as a lump of clay as well as many iconic products we take for granted.

plaster
I have mixed a lot plaster. I learned a lot about it on a job where a flat bed truck made a two pallet delivery every week for a year. Its a great material. There are lots of kinds, and many ways to reinforce it. It is under utilized. Since I felt comfortable using it I ended up making many things from it.

Creation
In this phase, a quick prototype or maquette is made first, and then the creation is fabricated with more fidelity and detail.
Delivery
Lastly, we complete all the little details that take the project to successful conclusion. A celebration is usually part of this.
